Red Fried Cottage CheeseIngredientsCottage cheese, cut in squares 500 g
Ginger / garlic, crushed 2 tsp
Green chillies, finely chopped 4-6
Spring onions, finely chopped 4
Chilli sauce 3 tbsp
Chilli garlic sauce 2 1/2 tbsp
Tomato ketchup 3 tbsp
Soya sauce 3 tbsp
Cornflour 3 tbsp
Water 1 cup
Oil 3 tbsp
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
Methods/stepsMix cornflour with some water to make a thin paste. Heat oil. Dip pieces of cheese in cornflour and deep fry on high heat quickly, till a light golden. Remove from oil and set aside. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a saucepan and fry ginger / garlic paste and green chillies in it on medium heat about 4 minutes. Add all the sauces and salt and continue to cook for a few minutes more. Add 1/2 cup water and cook till it boils, add spring onions and the remaining cornflour to thicken the sauce. Finally add the cottage cheese, stir to coat with gravy.
