Shami KebabIngredientsMinced meat without fat ? kg
Chana dal (split gram) 2 tbsp (washed and soaked in water for ? hr)
Dalchini (cinnamon) 2 pieces
Cloves 2
Ginger 1 piece
Coriander and cumin powder 1 tsp
Garam masala (mixed spices) 1 tsp
Garlic flakes 10
Elaichi (cardamom) 2
Chili powder 1 tsp
Pepper a pinch
Kothmir and chopped pudina
(mint leaves) a handful
Egg 1
Chopped onion 1
Salt to taste
Methods/stepsWash and drain the mince. Mix the split to taste. Cook until it becomes dry. Remove from the fire and add ginger, garlic, pepper, chili powder, and coriander and cumin powder and grind the mixture into a fine paste and knead into dough. Now add the chopped mint leaves, kothmir, limejuice and salt to taste. Make lemon sized balls of the dough, flatten the balls and stuff them with a little onion mixture. Dip the stuffed kebabs in the beaten eggs and shallow fry till it is cooked. Reviews |
