Almond Chicken CurryIngredientsChicken; cut into small cubes 1 kg
Yogurt 1 cup
Green chillies 6
Ginger / garlic 1 1/2 tsp
Almonds; whole 18
Butter 1 1/2 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Oil or desi ghee 3 tsp
Salt to taste
Ingredients for gravy
Onions; finely chopped 5 medium
Tomatoes; finely chopped 5 medium
Green chillies; finely chopped 4
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Oil or desi ghee 3 tsp
Methods/stepsMix yogurt; green chillies; almonds; ginger and garlic and grind finely. Combine yogurt mixture with chicken; salt; butter and garam masala powder and leave for 2 hours. Heat ghee or oil; add marinated chicken and fry on medium heat. Cover the saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes till chicken is tender and cooked. Gravy: Heat ghee or oil and fry onions till golden brown. Add green chillies; tomatoes and other spices. Fry till tomatoes becomes soft and cooked. Add this gravy to the cooked chicken; mix well and add some water. Cover the saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes; till oil separates from gravy. Serve with naan or paratha. Reviews |
