Anglo Indian Mince & Brinjal CurryIngredientsLamb Mince 500 g
Brinjal(skin removed) 1 large
Oil 2 tbsp
Onion(sliced) 1 large
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Cinnamon 1
Cloves(laung) 3-4
Green chillies(sliced) 2
Tomatoes(chopped) 2
Hot water 1 cup
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Green chillies fried
Methods/stepsHeat the oil in a pan;& saute the onions until they turn light pink; add the ginger & garlic paste; & stir fry the masala for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle the cumin & coriander seeds; add the cinnamon & cloves; and stir in 2 sliced green chillies. Add the tomatoes & stir fry the masala till the oil comes to the surface. Add the mince; & fry till it is well browned. Add the water; cover; & simmer until the mince is tender. Mash the brinjal with a fork;& add to the mince; along with the garam masala powder; and simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with green & red chillies. Reviews |
