Arwi leaves 6-8 Gram four 1 cup Cumin seeds 1 tsp; roasted and powdered Red chillies 1/2 tbsp; powdered Ajwain 1/2 tsp Tamarind paste 2 tbsp Salt to taste Oil 1 cup for frying

Methods/steps

Wash leaves thoroughly and spread out in a colander to dry. In bowl mix gram flour with all ingredients and a little water if required Spread the gram flour mixture on the back of each leaf and role it up. Heat water in a large pan and place a fine colander on it; place all rolled leaves on it and steam gently; turn when one side is done; Remove from heat. Heat oil in a large karahi and fry the leaves on low heat till golden brown. Drain and spread on absorbent kitchen paper and with a sharp knife cut into four pieces. Serve hot. If you want to serve these in a curry; use the recipe for gram flour khandoyan curry.
