Baked TomatoesIngredientsTomatoes(halved) 500 g
Olive oil 3-4 tbsp
Dill(chopped) 1 tbsp
Oregano(chopped) 1 tbsp
Garlic(crushed) 5-6 cloves
Sugar 2 tsp
Cayenne pepper 1 tsp
Black pepper(freshly ground)
Methods/stepsPut the oil in a small bowl and stir in the dill; oregano; garlic; sugar; cayenne pepper and black pepper and mix well; taste and adjust the seasoning. Place the tomatoes in a single layer in a large; greased dish and spoon the oil and herb mixture over them. Cover loosely with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180C/350F for about 50 minutes until they are slighlty charred at the edges. Serve as an accompaniment to any main dish or with crusty bread and cheese. Reviews |
