Banana Nut Chocolate Chip SconesIngredientsFlour 3 cups
Packed Brown Sugar 1/2 cup
Baking Powder 2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Baking Soda 1/4 tsp
Butter(chilled) 3 tbsp
Butter Milk(Lassi) 1/4 cup
Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
Egg 2
Banana(mashed) 1 cup
Chocolate Chips 1/2 cup
Walnuts(chopped) 1/3 cup
Brown Sugar 1 tsp
Methods/stepsPreheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl; combine flour; sugar; baking powder; baking soda & salt. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Set aside. In a medium bowl; mix butter milk; vanilla; egg whites; and banana. Add wet mixture to dry mixture just until combined. Mix in chocolate chips. Turn dough out on lightly floured surface. Knead lightly. Grease a cookie sheet. Pat the dough into a 9 circle on the cookie sheet. Sprinkle the walnuts and brown sugar over the dough; pressing gently into the dough. Cut the dough into the 12 Slices. Bake for 20 minutes. Reviews |
